den Sonnenschein der vergangenen Woche haben wir genutzt um mal wieder eine Wanderung im Pfälzerwald zu unternehmen. Mit dem Auto ging es nach Eppenbrunn. Eppenbrunn liegt ca. 10 km südsüdwestlich von Pirmasens und 16 km westsüdwestlich von Dahn. Wenn man aus nördlicher Direction of Pirmasens come from or from B10, then you drive Eppenbrunn on the valley road, lake road (L478) and turn after the village turn right to the parking lot on a spit pond. Our path leads us on an old trade route, the road salt that led up to to Metz. The road was already in Roman times with sandstone blocks attached. Remains of this road surface are partially visible today.
out after a brief climb our way out of the forest in a more open landscape, between the towns by Hilst and Schweik, along the Hilstbaches into the valley to Trualbe. Here we turn right and follow the path with the marker green bar along the idyllic brook Eppenbrunn direction. Just before the site offers a picnic area, the opportunity may be overheated feet in the stream cool.
At the entrance of Eppenbrunn we have turned into "Kuppers Gaad", a very nice restaurant with spacious garden, where can go fill up evaporated liquid reserves in a pleasant way again.
